This is the same in #COVID19Ontario.

“If NHS trusts are serious about following the science then arguably they should be vaccinating cleaners and porters first."

To our shame the common thread is that the least paid remain the most at risk and the least protected https://twitter.com/gabegabeyeah/status/1351100640655790080

Grateful for all your support-Dad home now w/meds & monitoring. Other than not fed, he received good care, ER doc conferencing with me on dad's cell phone.

V. grateful to front line but more concerned than ever how language, financial, tech barriers can cause inequities in care.

No feeling quite like leaving your 83 year old father alone at the ER to fend for himself.

Ontario has been grappling w/ politicians/businessmen Xmas travel. Now Woods alleges LHSC mischaracterized him--suing for $2.5M.

Drama shows huge disconnect between science, unclear govt messaging & need for transparency-not double standards-in biz.

🚨UPDATE🚨: Evictions have NOT been suspended, according to a spokesperson from Minister Steve Clark's office.

This text was *mistakenly* included in the statement from the premier's office. The government will continue to explore evictions in the coming days, as per original.

So we are going to spend money to enforce these new restrictions but not spend on paid sick leave?

Enforcement is reactionary policymaking, paid sick leave is anticipatory policymaking.

What I made very clear in my call with @JustinTrudeau’s office today is the URGENCY of acting on National Standards. I don’t want to hear about jurisdictional issues. Seniors are dying by the hour. We need action.
