We Speak for Our Members
Patient Critical Co-op is a democratic organization: our members decide together on our priorities and actions. We are a not-for-profit organization, to ensure the power to represent our members is never co-opted by financial interests. Our membership shares do not return shares to members, to ensure no financial motivations replace our focus on the will of a member-majority.
First year Roadmap
In the first year of operation, the Co-op will focus on building awareness across Canada, generate online resources, develop our member base, community forums and working groups to identify and clarify member priorities. (Read ‘What We Do’ for more information.)
What comes Next
Following our first annual general meeting, the Co-op’s Voting Members will elect their choice of Directors. That board will empower and oversee the Managing Director, who is in charge of hiring and oversight of all Co-op operations, policy and, officer appointments and staffing, in accordance with the wishes of the board and members.
Throughout the year, Members will also be able to express their opinions electronically on many issues to guide the decisions of the Co-op between annual general meetings.
